This Is Us
First and foremost, my family has always been animal lovers. Growing up, we have had everything from turtles, fish, bunnies, dogs, hamsters, to talking parrots. However, cats where always what I was most drawn to. I would always somehow end up finding stray kittens, begging my parents to keep them. (One is now 15 years old & still with us). I was always mesmerized by Maine Coons. It was my dream to one day own one. After getting married to my highschool sweetheart, buying a house and having 3 children, my dream finally came true.
Meet Aspen
Aspen is my true inspiration on deciding to become a breeder of these majestic animals, As she was growing up, I was in nursing school. She would stay by my side through all the struggles and studies. I soon realized too, that she was my daughters best friend. Not only her looks or large size, but her super sweet, lovable personality made me want to continue keeping this breed alive and give families the same amount of happy and love that she gave our family.
Fast Forward.…
I have two best friends: my husband and my mom. When I had mentioned my crazy idea (as they call them), they were fully on board to support it. We soon enclosed our patio and turned it into a “catio”. Raising and taking care of cats and kittens is a lot of work, but it has made our family bond stronger as we all help together. My kids love their chores.. cuddling with kittens to make them extra sweet! All of our cats and kittens are raised in our home, they seem to think our bed is actually their bed.
